In Amboseli, Kenya, the lake becomes a canvas for the daily routine of black and white avocets. As the birds navigate the still waters, the reflection of their distinctive coloring adds a touch of symmetry to the scene. Against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, their sleek figures move with purpose, creating a natural dance on the lake's surface. The contrast of their plumage is more than just a visual element; it's a snapshot of the everyday elegance that unfolds in this serene corner of Amboseli. With their slender bills and distinct markings, the avocets become part of the daily rhythm, painting a simple yet beautiful narrative against the backdrop of the Kenyan landscape.

Amboseli National Park is home to several seasonal lakes, with Lake Amboseli and Lake Kioko being prominent examples. These lakes play a crucial role in the park's ecosystem, providing essential water sources for a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry seasons. Animals, including elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species, depend on these lakes for drinking and bathing.

The presence of water not only sustains resident wildlife but also attracts migratory birds, adding to the park's ecological diversity. These lakes, nestled against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, also serve as scenic settings that contribute to the allure of Amboseli as a prime wildlife destination.

I strive for happy clients - in 4 years, I've never had a request to return a print. However, if you have changed your mind, you can ship your print back to me at your expense, and I will provide a full refund once I have received your package.

In order to serve my customers best, my prints are sent to the lab within a few hours after purchase. If you have made a duplicate order or an error in your order, please contact me ASAP to fix the issue before the order is sent to the printer.

In the very rare event that your product should arrive damaged, simply contact me with photographs of the package and product and I'll be happy to replace it at no cost to you.

Limited Editions versus Open Editions

Limited editions simply means that these prints are only available in certain quantities for that size and paper type. For example, typically my small prints are limited editions of 100 - once they are gone, they wont be available anymore at that size.

Open editions are available forever - these are being offer as acrylic prints in 40" and 60" sizes. I am offering open editions of some of my older images as well as the current collection.

Framing Suggestions

I always prefer to support a local frame shop - however we all have times where we need something a little more budget friendly. is my favorite only solution for custom frames. I don't get anything for recommending them - they're just a really great company I like to support!
