The lush emerald canopy of Rwanda's misty mountains cradled us as we embarked on a transformative journey in search of the elusive mountain gorillas. In a symphony of rustling leaves and distant bird calls, each step carrying us deeper into the heart of the jungle. The air was thick with the earthy fragrance of dew-kissed foliage, and anticipation danced with every stride. Navigating the intricate web of vegetation, our senses heightened as we approached a clearing, and there a family of gorillas revealed themselves. The silverback slept, surrounded by the playful antics of juveniles. The boundaries between our worlds blurred, and time stood still. An intimate encounter with Rwanda's majestic gorillas is an experience unlike any other—a tale of communion with nature, a journey into the heart of the wild where the spirit of these magnificent creatures echoed through the mist-covered mountains.

Mountain gorillas are listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The primary threats to their survival include habitat loss due to human encroachment, poaching, and political instability in the regions where they inhabit.

Despite their endangered status, there has been a positive trajectory in the population of mountain gorillas in recent years. Thanks to concerted conservation efforts, particularly in Rwand, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the population has shown signs of recovery. Community-based conservation initiatives, strict anti-poaching measures, and sustainable tourism practices have contributed to this positive trend.

Is there a Size Chart?

You can find the size chart here

Are The Prints Signed?

Because my prints are sent directly to you from the print lab, I am unable to sign every print by hand. However, I am ALWAYS happy to sign your print after it arrives when I'm in your area - just send me a message!

Limited Editions versus Open Editions

Limited editions simply means that these prints are only available in certain quantities for that size and paper type. For example, typically my small prints are limited editions of 100 - once they are gone, they wont be available anymore at that size.

Open editions are available forever - these are being offer as acrylic prints in 40" and 60" sizes. I am offering open editions of some of my older images as well as the current collection.

Framing Suggestions

I always prefer to support a local frame shop - however we all have times where we need something a little more budget friendly.

www.frame-it-easy.com is my favorite only solution for custom frames. I don't get anything for recommending them - they're just a really great company I like to support!
