Samburu, Kenya

2022

The doum palms are an instantly recognizable feature in the dry arid landscape of Samburu. I was absolutely taken with their form and the shelter they provided to the animals desperate for a break from the desert sun. The shape of the two giraffes seemed to echo the lines of the trees and I desperately wanted to create this image - but I didn’t have a wide angle lens handy. I remembered a technique I had tried once before, called the Brenezier Method, and I was able to stitch together nine shots to create this image. The result is a highly detailed image with a soft background. This evocative image is perfect for any giraffe lover.

Returns Policy

I strive for happy clients - in 4 years, I've never had a request to return a print. However, if you have changed your mind, you can ship your print back to me at your expense, and I will provide a full refund once I have received your package.

In order to serve my customers best, my prints are sent to the lab within a few hours after purchase. If you have made a duplicate order or an error in your order, please contact me ASAP to fix the issue before the order is sent to the printer.

In the very rare event that your product should arrive damaged, simply contact me with photographs of the package and product and I'll be happy to replace it at no cost to you.

Limited Editions versus Open Editions

Limited editions simply means that these prints are only available in certain quantities for that size and paper type. For example, typically my small prints are limited editions of 100 - once they are gone, they wont be available anymore at that size.

Open editions are available forever - these are being offer as acrylic prints in 40" and 60" sizes. I am offering open editions of some of my older images as well as the current collection.

Framing Suggestions

I always prefer to support a local frame shop - however we all have times where we need something a little more budget friendly.

www.frame-it-easy.com is my favorite only solution for custom frames. I don't get anything for recommending them - they're just a really great company I like to support!
